While some students remain focused on the end game, many students become very engaged with their fieldwork or data collection and helping them close this phase and move onto the final write up may be significant and critical supervisory act.
Writing up is the final step of the research project. This stage involves the candidate finalising the written component of the research project and submitting it for examination. The nomination of examiners also takes place during this stage and it is the principal supervisor's responsibility to ensure the candidate completes the thesis and submits on time, while simultaneously contacting any potential examiners well in advance of their formal nomination.
The tools to support ‘Finalising the Thesis’ are contained in this section of the toolkit.
